Shelly Roberts (Rowland) Medical Expense Fund
In the early morning hours of September 7th, Shelly Roberts (Rowland), her 17 year old daughter Lexie and my 10 month old grandson Eli, whom Lexie was keeping overnight, were all asleep in Shelly's bedroom when JR Roberts, Shelly's estranged husband, broke into the house and bedroom and shot multiple times hitting Shelly in the lower leg shattering her tibia and fibula and damaging beyond repair a main artery. Lexie was able to get Eli to safety and call 911. Shelly shot JR which is, I believe, the only reason why he didn't kill them all. Shelly had a restraining order against him and was in daily communication with Rolla PD. JR cut off his ankle monitor and when he broke into the house he was armed with 2 guns, a knife and zip ties. He was also high on meth.
Shelly was flown to Columbia where she had emergency surgery on her leg and spent 3 days in the ICU. She will have a long recovery ahead of her as well as thousands of dollars in medical bills.
Shelly is the Director of Nursing at Oak Pointe Assisted Living in Rolla. She is unsure of when she will be able to go back to work. Lexie is a
Senior at Laquey High School. This is definitely not the way she thought her senior year would start out.

and get them through with their regular bills
until Shelly can return to work.
