Shelly's Healing
Donation protected
After a few days of intense pain in her sinuses and a migraine, Shelly was taken into the Emergency Room by her husband Brian in the morning of Monday, March 27. In a matter of hours, the pain became so intense that she was unable to speak, walk, or open her eyes. After days of antibiotics, a spinal tap, and multiple MRI and CT scans, doctors confirmed that the problem was Bacterial Meningitis. The infection in her sinuses was so severe that it eroded the left orbital bone, allowing the infection to spread to her brain causing the meningitis. On April 1, Shelly was able to have a surgery to clean out the infection. She has been able to speak and start walking, and the surgery is helping in her healing process. The family could use monetary help as the medical bills start to mount. Shelly and Brian have one son on a mission, two other teenage children, and a two year old son. They are being cared for by the family's oldest daughter, her husband, and other family members. The outpouring of love and help has been immense and there is much gratitude. If you would still like to help, it would be appreciated. Shelly will still need weeks of care and we are not sure how long before she comes home from the hospital.
