Shelly’s Last Wishes

Hello, my name is Nic Main. I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my mother, Shelly Main, who had been diagnosed with an incurable stage four cancer. This all started last year when my mother was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. This is a very rare form. She endured chemotherapy, immunotherapy, red devil chemotherapy, and oral chemotherapy. After multiple rounds of treatment in multiple forms, nothing was enough. We resorted to a double mastectomy to remove the cancer. For some time, we believed she was in remission.

As of today, we know that was never the case as tumors were found in her brain and lungs. I am raising these funds to grant my mother’s last wishes.

First, a family trip to Greece with three adults.

Secondly, to take her three year old grandson and family to Disneyworld.

Her third request is to get a tattoo with her two children by Kat Von-D.

My mother has given her life for the past 61 years to her kids, students, and to all souls she has crossed paths with. For over thirty years she has dedicated her life to being an educator, only wanting to ensure that no one ever felt overlooked or left behind. She gave 18 months to my own recovery from Melanoma.

All I want is to make her wishes come true. If you cannot donate, letters of encouragement or shared experiences you might have had with her as a teacher/principal are valued. She cannot be appreciated enough as a mother and a beneficiary to the community.
