Shelter Dislocated Haitian Youth & Kay Trans
“10 lives a year is not enough”
Due to recent events* in Haiti, there is an increased number of displaced youth, specially LGBTQ youth. Kay Trans is trying to welcome as large of a number as they can, but this would require a massive amount of resources and infrastructure that they do not currently have. Trans and Queer Haitians are already a vulnerable sector of the population. As the general
conditions become more suffocating, they are very often left behind in consideration. We can offer our protection by helping fund their survival during this time and beyond. This ask is not big, it is just that we would beed the entire diaspora to come together for the youth of Haiti in order to get this done.
Please keep in mind that this is for an increased number of people, and that further than maintenance this is general state of emergency, trickling down to the most marginalized.
Please check the sources below for more information on what is currently happening in Haiti.
