Shelter for an Agroforester - Abrigo para um Agroflorestor

Hello, I am Guibs

For the past 3 years I have been on a collective mission: Reforest 4 hectares of land in Alto Alentejo - Portugal.

During this time we have planted more than 5000 native trees in different campaings with the support of local community, dear friends and the Gone West project.

This land has suffered for centuries with deforestation, agricultural exploitation and now; with the Climate Crisis; extreme weather changes.

Can you imagine 45 Cº by day and 15 Cº by night in the summer? - 5 Cº in the winter... It's hard out here!

To keep going further and to take care of all the hard work done so far I have some challenges ahead.

This caravan has been my safe place during this journey, through heavy rains and scorching heat. But it's not enough. It needs some love like I do

So the plan is simple and clear: Build a roof over it!

That is where YOU can help me keep going on this mission I love.

This crowdfunding will be used for the construction materials such as wood poles, roof sheets and water colection gutters.

Olá, eu sou Guibs

Nos últimos 3 anos, tenho estado em uma missão coletiva: Reflorestar 4 hectares de terra no Alto Alentejo - Portugal.

Durante esse tempo, plantamos mais de 5000 árvores nativas em diferentes campanhas com o apoio da comunidade local, amigos queridos e do projeto Gone West.

Esta terra sofreu por séculos com desmatamento, exploração agrícola e agora; com a Crise Climática; mudanças climáticas extremas.

Você consegue imaginar 45 Cº durante o dia e 15 Cº à noite no verão? - 5 Cº no inverno... É difícil aqui fora!

Para continuar indo mais longe e cuidar de todo o trabalho duro feito até agora, tenho alguns desafios pela frente.

Esta caravana (aí em cima) tem sido meu lugar seguro durante esta jornada, através de chuvas fortes e calor escaldante.

Mas não é o suficiente. Ela precisa de um pouco de amor como eu preciso

Então o plano é simples e claro: construir um telhado sobre ela!
