Shemuwel Klingenberg’s Miracle Recovery
Donation protected
On December 9, Shemuwel Klingenberg was cutting firewood when the tree he was sawing unexpectedly split, immediately causing severe injuries. His condition—the result of a blow to the head—was critical, and Shemuwel was life-flighted to Cox Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. His family rushed to be at his side as a team of doctors assessed the extensive damage to his face, skull, and brain, performing what was very likely life-saving emergency surgery. 24 hours passed, and Shemuwel’s prognosis remained dire. Doctors were not optimistic about his chances for survival.
In the intervening days, 19-year-old Shemuwel’s life perched on a razor blade as his progress was seemingly two steps forward and one step back. Through it all, Shemuwel’s parents, Martin and Andrea, have unfailingly advocated for him: attending his bedside, conferring with doctors, and rallying an army of prayer warriors on their son’s behalf. In his darkest hour, Shemuwel’s family placed their trust in God, choosing to believe that Shemuwel was created stubborn and strong precisely so that he might overcome the odds and make a full recovery. Praise God, that faith is being rewarded! Shemuwel is showing clear signs of progress, and as he continues to heal, his recovery is looking more hopeful, day by day.
Those who are at all acquainted with the Klingenberg family know that Shemuwel, as the eldest in his family, is a loving brother, a devoted son, and a dedicated follower of Christ. While this is sadly not the first tragedy the Klingenbergs have faced, having lost their precious little Yohanna to cancer in 2017, we all fervently hope and pray that this current, brutal burden can be lightened. Martin, Andrea, Anneliese, Ingrid, Mattathias, Dieter, Emma, Lydia, Wilhelm, and Krista are all in advance immensely grateful for continued prayers for a miraculous healing in Shemuwel.
Donations for the Klingenberg family’s many expenses incurred at this time of crisis would be very helpful, as their lives have been put on hold, awaiting Shemuwel’s ultimate recovery.
