Shepherds House Childcare Ministries Mpigi Uganda

Hi, my family and I are volunteering in a wonderful orphanage school in Uganda in October. We are funding our flights and accommodation ourselves but we would love to raise funds to set up a medical centre in the grounds. They currently have an outbreak of Malaria and sadly children are dying due to lack of money for healthcare. We would love to be able to vaccinate the children and wonderful staff as well as creating a medical room for them and the local community to use. The daily struggle to feed, educate and care for these children is incomprehensible and the staff literally put their heart and soul into it everyday. Most of the children are orphaned, literally left at the orphanage by parents who cannot provide for them, the staff are now the only family they have. Some days these children have one cup of porridge each day and occasion run out of food altogether. They receive no government funding and rely solely on donations. Please consider donating as little or as much as you can afford so we can give the children a fighting chance with healthcare. A medical room would be so helpful.
