Shera's Leg Surgery
Donation protected
Meet Shera, our four-legged family member. Shera is a 7-year-old Doberman who loves her younger sister, our daughter, Viviana. They are the best of friends, and even play dress-up together. Over the years, Shera has had problems with strained ligaments, and recently the strains have turned into tears. Both of her back legs have torn cruciate ligaments, and she is no longer able to walk. She has been so strong and has tried to keep up with her sister when she runs around the house, but we have come to the realization that she needs to stay in bed. Her wimpers, although small, are deafening to our ears. Our veterinarian insists that she has surgery, as other methods will not work in her situation. Unfortunately for us, we are unable to afford the vet bills. At $3,000 per leg, we are at a loss for how we will ever afford to make our sweet baby better. As hard as it is to do, we are reaching out to our friends and family to ask for assistance. Please, if you are able to do so, help us to get Shera the care that she desperately needs. Any small amount counts. We thank all of you for sharing this message, and Viviana thanks you, too.
