Sheridan High School Baseball

Sheridan is currently serving a population in which roughly 85% of our students qualify for free

and reduced lunch, and though our families are incredibly supportive of our school and small

community, an underlying struggle remains and impacts the ability to fundraise and obtain

supplies for the academic year. Our Athletic Department has begun preparations to meet the

needs of all our athletic teams and as a school, we are trying our best to assure that all of our

student-athletes have the equipment and resources for a successful Spring season.

The 2022 season has brought us an opportunity, a once in a lifetime experience, which is to

travel to New Mexico and visit New Mexico Highlands University, and also play out of state

competition. Which, for our school and program, has never been an option, and is one that we

may never have again. As a coaching staff, we are doing our best to give our students a chance

to seek higher education options, experience a day on a college campus, and to challenge

themselves towards a better future through education.

With having 30 kids in our program, to facilitate such a trip requires additional financial

resources outside of what we currently have available, and we are now reaching out to our

community and friends to help us in making this possible for these students.

All donations and proceeds will directly support our student-athletes, reducing direct costs to

them individually and providing them with a once in a lifetime, and for many, a life-changing

experience
