Sheri's Breast Cancer Fund

On December 7,2023 we received the news that Sheri had been diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Sheri has a tumor that is about 2.6cm in her right breast. After an initial mammogram and further testing the doctors have determined that the kind of breast cancer she has is the most common but also one the most aggressive.

Sheri is a 36 year old woman who loves her yellow Lab (Honey) and spends her time working as an LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) with individuals and couples to help them better their lives. She is committed to the betterment of others and helping them improve their lives and community. Now she needs your support to make sure that she can continue this important work and to be able to survive this deadly disease.

At this point Sheri is having to make the decision to either have a complete mastectomy or lumpectomy. The two choices have different implications and trajectories for long term survival. We do know now that Sheri will have to undergo surgery and then chemotherapy/immunotherapy, radiation treatment, and hormone treatment after surgery.

Thankfully Sheri does have medical insurance and she is working with her doctor to determine the best course of action. Sheri is worried because she will have to miss work for the various treatments and surgeries. These treatments along with all of the extra costs to cover them will put her in a precarious financial situation. Please consider donating to this very good and important cause. If you know Sheri, you know that she is very funny, smart, and strong. She is a fighter! We are focused on Sheri not only getting through this but that she will surmount many of the difficult challenges in front of her.

In moments like these it makes everything challenging.
