Sherri and David Moody

Hello, my name is Eric Wells and I would like the opportunity to introduce you to two of my dearest friends, Sherri and David Moody. They are both Deer Park graduates and high school sweethearts. They have a son named Jake who recently married Mika. The Moody’s are new residents to Friendswood and both David and Sherri have dedicated their lives to public education. As the PAL’S teacher (Peer-Assisted Leadership) at Deer Park High School, Sherri taught her students about a servant attitude to help students connect and help each other through struggles and adversity. David’s career is unique as it spans over 20 years and it includes experience at all levels, elementary, junior high, and high school. Most recently, David was the deputy superintendent in Pearland ISD. Unfortunately, events from Friday, April 21st have caused both David and Sherri to retire early. Sherri was admitted to the hospital on that Friday and what seemed to be something as simple as dehydration turned into a life-threatening condition that included pneumonia, sepsis, and ultimately septic shock. Sherri was now in a fight for her life with David by her side every step of the way. It was going to take a miracle and all David wanted was to be able to take Sherri home. Unfortunately, complications with septic shock caused Sherri to lose all 4 limbs. There were many challenges and setbacks throughout but today on August 7th after 108 days, Sherri is back home. The miracle happened and I share this in the hope of raising financial support for David and Sherri. The goal is to raise enough money to help defer the costs of medical bills, physical therapy, home renovations (wheelchair accessibility), and prosthetic limbs (4). Please consider supporting David and Sherri in this new and challenging journey. Thank you for taking the time to meet David and Sherri and for any consideration.
God Bless!
