Sherrie Buckland gun shot victim

My name is Wade Hall, on Friday the 25th in our small south Georgia town of Moultrie my sweet cousin Sherry Nicole Buckland 23 years old was shot in the chest by her boyfriend. No matter what his life story/excuse is, the facts are that she is currently fighting a daily battle for her life in the hospital. The bullet entered her chest, went through her lung, her liver, busted her diaphragm, hit her spine, and severed her spinal cord at T10. She has no feeling from the stomach down and specialists in Tallahassee have told us they find it too risky to try and even remove the bullet. They've also told Sherrie to prepare herself to live a whole new lifestyle, as life will be a challenge with not being able to walk again. This may also mean no more bladder or bowel sensation/control. The doctors came in this morning and told her another possible surgery will be needed today to stop bile build up inside of her and prevent infection bc the bullet also busted open her bile duct and is causing her to leak out bile, swell, and build pressure. She is alive and we all are praising the Lord for that but she's in some extreme pain and we are currently trying to get her body repaired and have her comfortable enough to communicate with the authorities and explain all the details to what the full, true story is, in which the GBI has put together for the most part already (Again I must express this isp an assumption to protect myself but we think the original story that she first stated during the trauma saying it was a drive by shooting was a story that was instructed to her to tell) all the facts will soon be released by the GBI to the public so we all will soon know the full story with ALL THE FACTS of how this started to how it's unfolding. Our main concern right now is Sherrie and how we can help prepare for this new life that she faces. Tommy Buckland is her father, a single father who solely takes care of her two younger sisters, we can all see he is so very thankful to God that his daughter will live but we also see the concern of providing for his girls now, all of the bills, the living expenses...besides the stress of uncertainty if your precious baby girl will continue to live up to this point. These concerns are also tearing him apart. We have assured him that between God, our family, and friends we will somehow pull through this together. With all this said, most of all we need prayers but we all know it's going to be a strain on Tommy financially and emotionally to support and care for Sherrie in addition to his other girls. Our family is pulling together and doing as much as possible to help but we have no idea what the expenses are going to be so I just put 10k as the goal for now. We will start the process of applying for governmental assistance for her as soon as possible. We are all putting our pride aside for Sherrie's well being and we're asking if you are able, to please help with prayer or a donation. We are so very sincerely thankful for either one, or for any other form of help so if you feel lead to send Sherrie a letter including your successful experience with a similar situation or even kind words of encouragement please do and I'll see that she gets it.
