Help Buy a Land to Build Talent Development Centre for Kids

Hi, my name is Sherrie, and I currently run a talent development centre called the Sherrie Silver Foundation which serves over 500 children and youths in an underserved community in Kigali, Rwanda. Our centre is a haven where young people escape their worries and express themselves while learning how to dance, sing, play instruments, paint and learn English free of charge. We also provide free meals for the children every week in an effort to combat malnutrition. We are seeing so many young people lift themselves out of poverty using their learned talents.

We are currently running our programs in a single overcrowded hall which limits our ability to serve more children and provide a conducive learning environment, and we often end up having to turn many young people away. We need a bigger, permanent space to call our home, as our current rental situation often brings instability. We are turning to you for support to help us buy the land to build a Talent Development Centre for our Foundation. The centre will be be located in the heart of the community we serve and will feature dance studios, a music recording studio, classrooms, spaces, a hall and an outdoor space, but most excitingly, Rwanda's first theatre, as we do not currently have one in the country.
