Sherry Lewis Fund

Our beloved Sherry Lewis, this woman has been a pillar to her community and a wonderful woman to her people. With always being a open door to whomever she knew. Whether it was just a open heart to confide in or if it was someone hungry and needed some food to eat, and sometimes even a place to stay! I even lived with her for a full year and she charged me no rent the entire time. If she loves you Sherry has it for you every time, and if she didn’t she can help you figure it out ok.  She has always been very thoughtful like that. She’s loyal to the ones she loves and dedicated her entire life to caring for others. That’s why I know this is so important to do this. Because even at her most vulnerable times she is constantly worried about being a burden to us (her family) but that she could NEVER be. Because honestly we owe our lives to her. She has been nothing but good to me after I lost my own mother to cancer 10 years ago and have been blessed to had her to call my own even before that. She is officially me and my families last of our last as far as active parents go. Sherry is critically ill at the moment with stage 4 cancer in the Brain, Lungs, Stomach, and bones. & it has been killing us physically to see her suffering as she has been. Sherry did not have a life insurance plan prior to her diagnosis which doesn’t put her at much as far as funeral cost goes. & her significant other (Troy) is working tirelessly day in and all night every night fighting this battle with her! And let me tell you it is not a easy thing to do alone. And he is not working due to covid and also due to the need to care for our lovely Sherry 24/7 around the clock. She is not safe to be left alone. My family needs all the support we can get so I’m putting all of our pride to the side which as strong minded people is a hard thing to do. Opening up and letting you guys know all of this is just as hard as it is. So please if you can find it in your hearts to donate whatever you can our family will be forever grateful.
