Hi, my name is Clinton Brown, and I am fundraising for a dear friend of ours, Sherry Parsons.
Sherry is a loving mother of 46 years of age to three beautiful kids, namely Caleb (21), Kiya (17) and Tex (8).

On the 17th of November 2022, Sherry felt ill with headaches and constant vomiting. Her partner, Jason, took her to the Mater hospital in Brisbane, where she was examined and sent home to rest.

Sherry was off work for a week and, at home, developed a rash and loss of movement on the left side of her body. Jason rushed her back to the Mater hospital to be seen. It was only then that the Doctors took her matter seriously due to the rash on her body and loss of movement on the left side of her body and decided to do a CT Scan.

The results confirmed that Sherry had an aneurysm during that week at home and, to top it off, a stroke two days after the aneurysm. The Mater hospital recommended that Sherry be taken to the PA Hospital to be seen because they were not best suited for her condition and didn't specialise in neurology.

At the PA Hospital, Sherry underwent an MRI scan confirming her aneurysm and stroke. On the 6th of December, she had the aneurysm coiled as a short-term measure until she was fit enough to put a stent in her brain. The subsequent surgery is scheduled for January/February 2023. She will commence rehabilitation week starting the 14th of December 2023 to assist her with losing movement on the left side of her body. It will be a six-month rehabilitation period whereby she is not allowed to return to work or drive her vehicle.

We are grateful that Sherry is alive and on the road to recovery. However, the fact that she will have no income for the next six months is already putting stress on her family.

Her family relies heavily on two incomes to beat the high cost of living. Their two children, Kiya and Tex are living at home and financially dependent on Sherry and Jason. Furthermore, Sherry's income covered all their bills and living expenses, whereas Jason's income covered their mortgage. Sherry's inability to contribute financially for the next six months will have a massive impact on their lives.

All your kind donations will be greatly appreciated, and funds collected will go towards supporting her family with their day-to-day living expenses, i.e. Utility Bills, School fees, and putting food on their table.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this; your donations would be greatly appreciated.

On behalf of myself and the Parsons family, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2023.

Kind Regards,

Clinton
