“She’s a FIGHTER!” Baby Alara

She’s a FIGHTER!!! Please help our family raise funds to support our grand baby Alara, as she begins her NICU fight! Alara was born prematurely 7/13/2023 at 2 lbs 15 oz. and 31 weeks she is the first for many; first child, first grandchild, first great grandchild she is expected to be hospitalized in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit ) in Iowa for several months at a minimum and would likely require significant aftercare. On July 13th Mama (Leah) was rushed by an ambulance to Methodist Medical Center and was taken to the operating room for an emergency C-section, due to placental abruption believed to of been related to previously undiagnosed preeclampsia. Baby Alara was born not breathing and had to be resuscitated, she has been fighting fiercely ever since! Mama was moved to ICU shortly following delivery for medical complications and she continues to face her own medical hurdles she was finally discharged today after 5 1/2 days. I’m incredibly proud of the strength and bravery of these strong females in our lives! We are all taking this day by day I know there will be a lot of unexpected expenses (medical expenses/loss of wages/bills etc.). If you are able to help in any way please consider it is greatly appreciated. We just want to try to help support them and lighten the financial expenses so the parents can focus on the health of our grandchild and themselves as they begin this new journey as partners with baby Alara. Above anything we need prayers we believe in the power of prayer! We will continue to everyone updated on baby Alara’s progress as much as possible.
