She’s always there for others, now she needs us.

How does one even begin to explain that someone they love so dearly needs help? Barbara is the most beautiful of souls and it pains us all to see her going through what she is. On behalf of her husband and children, I am humbly asking for help. Barbara suffered a TIA (mini stroke) a few weeks ago. It was a huge shock to the family and scary for us all. Eventually she was able to get back to work but not without long lasting effects of the stroke. Unfortunately, Barbara suffered another stroke last week, only this one wasn’t a mini stroke as they call them. Barbara is hospitalized at UVA with serious injuries related to the stroke. She is unable to walk, swallow and has significant speech problems. Her doctors are amazing and they are hopeful she will recover but she has a very long road ahead of her. With the amount of bills that will be coming in and the fact that she will be unable to work for an extended period of time, we’re asking for your help. This nana of 9 grandbabies... has always been there for all of us when we needed her and now it’s time for us to be there for her! Every contribution, no matter how much, will help ensure Barbara receives the best care possible without fear of losing everything she has worked so hard for.
