Gail* (an alias to protect her privacy and dignity), a therapist with over 20 years of experience, a LMSW (licensed master of social work) and psychotherapist, has made it her life mission to help others, especially individuals and couples struggling with the effects of complex childhood trauma, depression, and anxiety. The work she's done for countless people has been simply remarkable.

I should know because I was one of them, and the work she did with me, as the work she did with so many others, was life-transforming. Gail possesses the "magic of healing", that unique combination of experience, commitment and compassion that unlocks the best self and transforms those who come to her, as she did with me.

Unfortunately, this gift that Gail used to help so many couldn't help herself. Unbeknownst to her circle of receivers who she has given so much, Gail herself had deep unresolved childhood traumas that came to the surface a year ago due to a series of incredibly painful experiences. These unlocked her earlier traumas. So powerful were these experiences that Gail was completely derailed from her practice, her home, and everything she so lovingly built over the years. It's forced Gail to travel back to her childhood home and back in time to heal herself so she can continue in her mission of healing the world, one person and family at a time.

She's invested everything in others. Now she needs others' help.

The goal of this campaign is simple: to get Gail into a specialized treatment program where she can heal from her CPTSD. The program lasts for a month and Gail's objective will be to complete this program so she can go back to doing what she does best: helping others.

Treatment programs of this nature are extremely expensive, and it is beyond the means of Gail to get into this program on her own.

There's a saying: Saving one person is akin to saving the world. Years ago Gail did that for me as she did for so many. Now it's my turn to try to return that gift of joyous living that she gave me, and I know that if Gail is healed she will go on to healing many others.
