In the early morning hours yesterday as it was still night, a light went out in our world—a light that had shone with the promise of tomorrow, the melody of dreams, and the vibrancy of Young true talent and passion. Shiloh Angel Bennett, affectionately known as Clockwork to those who reveled in who he was as person and his unique musical and artistic talent, was tragically and senselessly taken from us. His life, so full of potential and promise, was cut short in a moment of unfathomable violence at a residential house party. Announced dead on arrival, the news of his passing has left us grappling with a void that words fail to represent.
At just 18 years old, Shiloh was on the cusp of a new chapter, not just in his burgeoning career in music but in the journey of fatherhood. A beautiful baby girl, his daughter, was about to enter this world, a world that will now be lesser without Shiloh's guiding hand and loving embrace. This unspeakable loss has robbed her of a father's love and wisdom, and has robbed us of a son, a brother, a uncle, a friend and cousin, leaving us to mourn not just for what was, but for what could have been.
Shiloh was not just a son, a soon-to-be father, a brother by blood to two brothers and one sister, but a beacon of loyalty and kindness to countless chosen brothers and sisters who saw in him a soul worth riding to the ends of the earth for. His dreams were vast, not just for himself, but for the better future he envisioned for his daughter, for whom he worked tirelessly and diligently. In his brief 18 years, Shiloh embodied the essence of a gentleman, conducting himself with fearless confidence and standing up against any mistreatment he saw. His absence leaves a silence too profound to describe.
Today, as we navigate through the depths of our grief, we face not just the emotional but the financial burdens that accompany such a sudden tragedy. Unanticipated expenses loom large, a stark reminder of the practicalities that accompany loss. It is in this moment of profound need that we reach out to you—friends, family, loved ones, neighbors, fans of Clockwork’s music, and kind-hearted strangers touched by Shiloh’s story—for support.
Your donations will help cover the final expenses to celebrate Shiloh’s life in a manner befitting the incredible person he was and contribute towards a future for his daughter, who has been left fatherless by this tragedy. In giving, you help not just to alleviate the immediate financial strain but to keep Shiloh’s memory alive, ensuring his name, his music, and his dreams continue to inspire even in his absence.
We are immensely grateful for any support you can provide. Your kindness during this time not only offers solace but stands as a testament to the community Shiloh built with his love, his music, and his life. Thank you for helping us honor the memory of Shiloh Angel Bennett—our son, our hero, our Clockwork.
