Shine Adoption

We have some news! We have spent the past year and a half going to doctor after doctor, and we have fostered a child and had our heart broken. We have also learned that the chances of naturally conceiving are going to be extremely low. We kept wondering - what is the next step? What is the best way to expand our family? Through all of this, God kept drawing us back to the same place both before we were married and now - adoption. We believe that adoption is a calling for us. We want a house full of children who feel loved, welcomed and safe. We plan to keep our home open for foster children but also feel called to pursue this route.

We have recently partnered with an adoption agency called Faithful Adoption Consultants. One reason we feel called to this agency is their commitment to the birth mom and showing her love and respect through the process. We plan to have an open adoption and are committing to having this birth family as an extension of our own family if they will allow it. 

We are in the midst of LOTS of paperwork and logistics that are necessary before we can start the process to be matched with a mom. Adoption is very expensive! In the US, the average adoption costs between 50 - 60,000.00. So, we are reaching out to ask for people to walk alongside us. We need prayer….so much prayer! We will be doing some fundraisers as well. If you feel called to donate to our adoption journey we would be eternally grateful. We will update along the way as we navigate our way through this process.
