Shine On Project

Shine Project is a collective response to a community in need. Times are hard for so many of us at the moment for many different reasons. We think it's more important than ever to show people in a very real way that they are valued, appreciated and loved. We cook a variety of fresh, yummy food on a weekly basis which is frozen and available to be collected or delivered on a Saturday to individuals and families who are struggling and need a little support. The meal can then be reheated and enjoyed on the Sunday. We work with schools, charities, community groups and other agencies to offer the gift hope, kindness, encouragement and support during these difficult times. In the midst of this pandemic many are disconnected from friends, family and there normal support networks. The emotional strain of lockdowns and the impact on normal life has left many in our community experiencing social isolation and financial hardship. This is a small grass routes community project that supports individuals and families in Rawtenstall, Crawshawbooth, Newchurch, Edenfield and the surrounding areas. We work in partnership with other charities and community groups across the valley such as Kay St Baptist, Raft Foundation, Food Share, CAP, the Village People Crawshawbooth, Kids In Rossendale, Rossendale Churches Together and many of the local schools.
