Shirley and Lane Harris

On September 8th, 2023, Shirley and Lane Harris lost their home and all of their earthly belongs to a fire. I am humbly reaching out seeking support for one of the most compassionate and caring couples I know.

Mrs. Shirly has devoted her entire life to nonprofits, caring for and educating abused, neglected and vulnerable children. She worked at The Children's Shelter for over 30 years and now works for the Madonna Center. She is known as Mama Shirley, giving unconditional love and support to thousands of children over the years.

Mr. Lane, like Mrs. Shirley, has devoted his life to serving and educating children. He retired from the San Antonio Independent school district after 29 years of service due to health problems, which he continues to struggle with today. The couple has been married for 34 years.

The fire has taken everything they have; however, they stand steadfast in their faith and pray for better days. I ask that you please consider supporting a couple that has served and cared for so many of our communities' children over the last several decades.
