Shirley Rodriguez's Call for Compassion and Solidarity

Tragedy struck on May 20th, 2024, when she lost her life to domestic violence. She was so much more than a victim; she was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. Shirley had a way of lighting up any room she entered with her kindness, infectious laughter, and warm smile. Her dream of becoming a veterinarian, fueled by her love for dogs, showed her caring nature.

But her bright future was cruelly snatched away when someone she once loved ended her life in front of her own home. Now, as her family struggles to come to terms with this unimaginable loss, they're faced with the heavy burden of funeral costs and creating a meaningful memorial for Shirley. They may also face the burden of legal expenses to ensure her perpetrator is held accountable and justice is served. The family also seeks to move from where this gruesome murder occurred.
