HELPING A FRIEND

Alicia was steadily improving with her shoulder healing until about 3 weeks ago. She was returning a motorized grocery scooter to a store for her mother and was struck by a pickup truck. She was thrown from the scooter onto the ground. She suffered a concussion, back, knee and shoulder injury. The injury to her shoulder was the one she just had surgery on. She has swelling and fluid on her knee. She has headaches every day as well. She saw the surgeon yesterday and he ordered an MRI. He said that her shoulder is "messed up." She is trusting God for complete healing. Thank you all for your prayers and support during this time.

Hey friends, I’m fundraising for a special friend of mine, Alicia Monk. Some of you may know her. She’s had a rough few years. In November of 2020, Alicia came down with COVID-19. She was critical and rushed to the hospital, where she would stay for a full 14 days. During that time her husband told her he wanted a divorce. Soon after she got out of the hospital and was healthy enough, Alicia left and moved in with some friends. A series of unfortunate events left Alicia helpless. She fell in June of 2022 and completely tore her bicep and rotator cuff. They were shredded and detached. She wasn't able to have surgery until October. She also had surgery on her right hand in September. She has had a few setbacks along the way and the surgeon thinks she needs more surgery on her shoulder. Every surgery is more time off work. She has applied for SSI, but has been denied. She is appealing, but that could take some time. She has not been able to work since her fall in June of last year. Needless to say, she has no money coming in at this time. If you could help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated. If you are not able to give at this time, please pray for full healing and that everything would go through with SSI. Thank you!
