Thank you for stopping by to consider donating for a great cause. Let me introduce myself and my cousins. My name is Jason Najem, and my two cousins are Paul Kayal and Christopher Kayal. One day I was reading the news on my phone on my commute to work. The article was about the closing down of Payless Shoes. A light bulb lit up in my head. I immediately texted the group chat that us 3 are in, and told them I had a great idea and would tell them all about it when I got home later that day, oh yeah we are roommates, living right outside NYC.
So you’ve waited long enough to find out what the idea I had after reading about the closings. Not just yet, I want to put into perspective how big of deal this is first. Did you know that there are approximately 79,000 homeless people living in New York City? What if I told you there was another 50,000 living in Los Angeles. Shocking, I know, I was taken aback when I read this. But it also validated the need for the idea I have. With these two major cities making up 23% of all homeless in the US, its eye opening, and frankly, something needs to be done to at least aid in a part of their lives.
This is how Coast 2 Coast Shoes was thought of and created! The idea is to raise money to buy shoes and sneakers for the homeless youth in these 2 major cities, making sure homeless children have a new pair of kicks to play in, go to school in, and walk in. So please join me in donating to reach our goal of $500 over the course of the next 3 months, so that by the time summer rolls around, kids will have a new pair to feel comfortable in!
P.S @ $500 we will be making our first shoe donationsw. Currently looking into it
Thank you and God Bless You
