A Texas Size Shoe Drive for Hunter

Join us for the 7th Annual Walk On The Barefoot Journey - Shoes for Hunter Drive 2025.

We continue to honor Hunter Nelson's memory and his project, Walk On The Barefoot Journey, celebrating his birthday on April 20th. Following his transformative trip to Quibdó, Colombia, in 2016, Hunter pledged to dedicate his life to assisting those less fortunate than himself. Providing a decent pair of shoes to those in need was just one step toward realizing his vision. Sadly, in the summer of 2018, we lost Hunter to a hiking accident in Washington while preparing to hike the Pacific Crest Trail barefoot. However, his legacy lives on through our annual fundraising efforts, supported by the generosity of Facet Seven. Together, we collect shoes for the Humanitarian Respite Center, where many are in need of a fresh pair of walk-ons. Your contribution will honor Hunter's passion and dedication and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
