Feed Our Frontline Healthcare Heroes Fund

As a locally owned neighborhood NYC restaurant, we are inspired to feed our city’s healthcare heroes on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic.
  
With your generous support, we will be able to deliver free nourishing meals twice a day to help fuel the extraordinary efforts of New York City’s healthcare workforce & first responders fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
 
 Feed our Frontline Healthcare Heroes Fund supports Shoo Shoo with the necessary financial resources to purchase food, packaging supplies, protective gear and pay our team.  We will also be housing the cooks close to the restaurant to avoid taking public transportation, ensuring we are able to maintain a sterile environment. 
 
 
We will be dedicating all of our resources to providing free meals to the healthcare heroes on the frontlines and will not be offering any delivery or pickups to the general public.

HOW DOES IT WORK:
1) You make a contribution.
2) Your contribution will be used to fund Shoo Shoo’s free meals where Healthcare workers need it the most.
3) We identify care centers & first responders in need throughout NYC(and we welcome your suggestions), we then contact them to coordinate deliveries and safety protocols.
4) We deliver nourishing hot meals to our frontline heroes.

Know of a hospital, clinic, shelter, or other care center that could use our help in the downtown area?
Let us know and we’ll call them to verify their need before sending food.

Who does this benefit? 
The meals will be sent to groups of healthcare workers at care centers, hospitals, first responders, shelters, etc. — that are in real need during this difficult time. 

Are kitchen team and delivery drivers following a certain protocol for safe delivery? 
Yes, we confirm that we are following the most recent best practices for food handling and delivery. We also work with both the care center to determine the safest means of delivery, including curbside drop-off.

Who is coordinating the partnership on behalf of the medical institutions? 
Team members from Shoo Shoo make these one-on-one coordinations.

How is the partnership being promoted? 
This program is being communicated through social media, email, and word of mouth, please share with your friends and families

Shoo Shoo Nolita is a regular for-profit business, please note the goods for food services are provided in exchange for your contributions, as such, this transaction is of ordinary nature and is not deemed a tax-deductible donation.
