Shooting Victim Angela Lovato's Medical Help
Donation protected
On Monday November 25, 2019 our family was shocked by the shooting of Angela Lovato. Angela is a loving caring wife, mother and grandmother who loves to fish.
Not far from home her and her husband Robert went to the Gila River for their weekly fishing trip to relax, enjoy the outdoors and each other as they have hundreds of times. This is the spot where they have taken their kids, their grandkids, family and friends to fish peacefully. On Monday, the 25th of November that started as a beautiful day with their lines in the water Robert heard gunfire that was too close. He tried to yell as they were shooting in their direction but before he knew it Angela was yelling for Robert telling him she was hit. She almost fell into the river and Robert was able to get ahold of her noticing she was shot in the abdomen. She was rushed to the hospital via ambulance where she underwent emergency surgery. The perpetrators of this act fled the scene and even though police were using helicopters to try to find them they could not locate them.
Angela sustained injuries to her abdomen where its presumed a 9mm bullet struck her large intestines, small intestines, and her hip. She has so far had an emergency surgery to remove a large portion of her intestine and doctors say they will have to perform at least another surgery. They believe that they will have to leave the bullet inside of her.
Angela will have to go through months if not years of rehabilitation, medication due to removal of a large portion of her intestines, and live with the psychological trauma of being shot.
Angela's medical insurance will not be covering all of her medical expenses as well as her and Robert will be losing lots of time from work. We can see that the medical bills will start to pile up as well as other expenses placing undue stress on Angela and Robert.
Angela and Robert are loving people that are always willing to step up when needed and now we would love for our community to return this love and kindness to them. Any little bit of a donation will help to pay for Angela's medical expenses so her and her husband can focus on long road to recovery and rehabilitation. With the holidays just around the corner this has but such a stress on Angela and Roberts family.
