Short Movie on the B-17 "Old 666"

My name is Vittie and I am the Primary owner of the Youtube Channel Sgt.Vittie. Over the last year, we have been creating videos on some of the most incredible stories from WW2. We focus primarily on covering the more Rare / untold stories of chivalry and Heroism as they are often overlooked by the more popular ones. Our channel is incredibly popular with the B-17 flying fortress and her crews. Many viewers are American Veterans of the Vietnam / Cold war who have lost their parents during WW2. More particularly the B-17 crews . We may not be where we are now if it weren't for the men who sacrificed their lives during WW2. So this means a lot to us, which is why we are making this fundraiser.
There is one story....one that we have covered already.
The Final fight of Old 666 / Suicide run
To this day, It remains the most decorated Mission in the history of War. No crew since has even come close to what these men did that day.
If you have not heard of this story, please check the linked video. In summary, a group of men who were neglected by the air force for their child like behaviour, salvaged a Scrapped B-17 flying fortress, fixed it up and volunteered to go on a Suicide mission, one that nobody else would have taken. They fitted the B-17 with as many guns as they could find. (19, 50 calibre machine guns) Which made it the most heavily armed B-17 to ever enter combat. Without any fighter escort or backup, they flew over 600 miles near the Japanese-controlled Solomon Islands to identify troop strength and possible locations for the upcoming invasion. As they approached the island, they had been spotted by the Japanese and see 17 Zeros head towards them. Instead of turning around, the crew proceed into the enemy infested island to take the pictures for their ground troops.

The B-17 and her crew sustain incredible damage, losing entire sections, destroyed engines and 6 of the 9 die / wounded. The enemy fire shred their bodies but they continue to fire back.

Lt. Sarnoski receives a shot into his chest and legs. Seeing another Zero bearing down on them. He went back to his weapon and returned fire before passing out.
After 30 minutes of dogfighting in a bomber! the remaining crew manage to kill the majority of the fighters. The damaged Zeros from the initial 17, ran out of fuel and retreat. As crazy as this sounds, they land their B-17 and get the photographs to the army for the land invasion. The land invasion did take place after.
If this story doesn't deserve to have a short movie made about it, then I don't know what does. Stories like this should never be forgotten and we hope the younger generation of today who seem to care a little less about history will continue to tell these stories after hearing / watching this.
This is why we need your help. We have partnered with a mainstream film production studio who have most likely created a mainstream movie that you have watched, to recreate this exact story in all its glory.
The estimated Budget for this project is £6000 and It will take several months to gather the cast, direct the film, edit and produce. Being a university student myself, I have saved up enough funds from the profit of the YouTube channel to start this off but we do not have the sufficient funds to show this the way we want it to be shown. This is going to be a very tough and time consuming project but it is going to be of mainstream movie quality. Per minute it costs a several grand so this is some Serious stuff. If you have seen the movie Midway, this is going through the same studio so expect a similar level of production quality.
We want to preserve this amazing history as it deserves to be preserved. I personally do not know why a movie hasn't been made on it already but Please help us to do so. We can be the first to show the world with this level of quality.
It can only be done with your help through donations, we promise its going to look amazing by the end of it.
