SHORT BROTHERS AVIATORS GRAVES RESTORATION

I am Elizabeth Walker, great, great niece of the three Short Brothers, Horace, Eustace and Oswald Short, the aviation pioneers who built the world's first powered-aircraft production line at Shellbeach on the Isle of Sheppey.

The Short Brothers Commemoration Society are dedicated to the restoration of the graves of Horace and Eustace at Hampstead Cemetery, London. We have already restored Oswald Short's grave at Lynchmere Burial Ground, Haslemere, Sussex.

Our Heritage Lottery fund bid for funds to restore the three graves was rejected and these internationally important graves are still in dire need of complete rebuilding as you can see from the photograph.

We need to get on with this Project as a matter of urgency and I will ensure that the raised funds are spent wisely and for the purpose stated here.
