I’m Augusto de Freitas Alves, a filmmaker, aspiring pole dancer, and passionate storyteller. Our entire crew is made up of fellow film graduates dedicated to creating art that challenges, inspires, and gives voice to stories often left untold. With Jones, we want to bring a message of resilience and transformation to life, helping shape a more inclusive film landscape.
We’re raising funds to bring Jones to life—a visually striking, emotionally powerful film about breaking free from conformity and embracing your true colors. The funds will go toward assembling a skilled team, building evocative sets, and capturing stunning visuals in Sydney, where the story unfolds in a gray world that gradually transforms with the characters’ journey. Every dollar supports our cast and crew, equipment, locations, costumes, makeup, and a safe, inclusive set environment.
Jones is deeply personal to me. It reflects the courage to live authentically and the resilience to keep pushing for freedom in a world that doesn’t always make it easy. The characters, Thomas and Jones, represent the hidden struggles and moments of self-discovery familiar to many in the LGBTQ+ community. This film is about more than color—it’s about fighting for a world where everyone can exist as their true selves.
