Short film "TWINS"

Hi, my name is Jelena. I was born in Bosnia 1992, just when the war started in my country. Because of my not so beautiful and not so fun childhood, I was always dreaming about having more fun in my life and I strongly believed (and I still do) that magic of my imagination brought me to the film industry. When I graduated on my university, I moved to USA and soon after that I continue with acting. Graduated from NYFA and now I prepare myself for the Columbia MFA. The reason why I'm in need of the fundraising is because I'm finishing my first short film and I need a support so I can cover expenses for the editor, material renting, postproduction team and the fees for the film festivals. I worked hard so I can pay a lot of stuff by myself, but now I really need help to finish it and to present it to the world. The story is about twin sisters who had split at some pointe of their life and had different lifestyle. But it's coming to the moment that the sister that left the younger one wants to connect with her, because she was diagnosed with cancer. But now she can't reach the other one, because she's already lost in this material world where the social status, money and the power are taking over. I can't tell you how this film ends, because I want You to see it.

I was blessed to work with people who believed in me and my project. I started last year in August in Los Angeles, traveled to Bosnia and moved to New York so I can make this film happened.

This film helped me to face my fears, because we're all so much concentrated on things that are way less important than our family and our loved ones.

I would be very grateful for any kind of help, so we can finish our film editing and the postproduction, so we can share this story to the whole world through the film festivals because I strongly believe that all of us are going through similar emotions. At the end of the day, we are all humans and we do have the same ability to feel. If I can reach emotionally, mentally or spiritually at least one person with this film, all my efforts are worth it.
