Short Term Help for the Bentz Family

Friends, Family, Community
We have currently fallen into some hard times. We are not ordinarily the ones asking for help. We are usually in the position to help others and do so as often as time and finances allow. But we have hit a point where our backs are now against the wall and must ask our loved ones and fellow community members for a helping hand. My husband is currently not able to provide financially, and because of my physical condition, I cannot work. I have been fighting for disability for some time now, and as some may know, it is an excruciating uphill battle. Before my husband knew his financial situation was going to change, he saved enough funds for me to be able to pay everything from August 2023 till about March 2024 in hopes he would be able to provide once again. To our disappointment, we were told the situation won't be resolved until May of 2024 or possibly later. The saved funds are now almost completely depleted. This has put me in a current situation of asking for help. My landlord just raised the rent, and I have numerous appointments I need to attend for doctors and physical therapy. This is something I need to do as well for disability. I have been trying endlessly to fill out applications for federal and state cash assistance, food stamps, rental assistance, and so far, I have only been able to get food stamps. This helps, but this doesn’t keep my car on the road. I need to get to appointments and have a roof over my head. I need to just get through a few months (hopefully May 2024) until my husband is back and able to provide these necessities once again. It hurts our pride to even ask for anything of this nature, but I truly have no choice. Any money received will go directly to paying rent, car payments, and the light bill.
Once my husband is no longer incapacitated, he will return to his job which he still has, and finances will go back to normal. Any help provided is greatly appreciated. Any of you who know him or me will return the helping hand once we are able. Thanks goes out to everyone who can give a helping hand whether it be financial or help in finding assistance within the community to help get these items paid. God Bless
