Short-Term Help for Maria!
Donation protected
Maria and her partner, whom many of you know and love, suffered a hard blow last week. They were part of a State-funded program that helped pay the bills, and they were dropped from the program. They've been working diligently over this past week to apply for assistance, jobs, and other programs that can help, and they are confident that they'll make it work. But, in the meantime, as they jump through all these hoops, they have bills to pay and no way to pay them this month.
As many of you also know, Maria has a seizure disorder that requires tender caregiving assistance.
Maria and friends have, for years, tirelessly advocated for the house-less community in Medford. They've delivered food and other needed supplies almost daily throughout many of these years--tapping into resources to help house-less families, advocating with boots on the ground. They are also extremely active in Indigenous circles--particularly within the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women's networks--along with working on countless environmental justice projects.
Maria and her helpers show up for people all the time. They've delivered food and household items all over the valley to people in need. They are now in need of help themselves. If you can, please donate to help them through this rough time.
