Defeat the Short Term Rental ban!

Our effort to block South Portland's City Council's ban on Short Term Rentals has moved into the final phase. We successfully ran two petition drives, collecting over 3,000 signatures from South Portland residents. The City Council has chosen to put this out for a referendum vote on this November's ballot instead of sitting down with citizens to craft a workable and meaningful ordinance to regulate STRs. This is our last opportunity to stop the City Council from permanently taking away your property rights.


Our first fundraising efforts collected over $7,000 and the funds were used for legal advice and the petition drives. We need to raise an additional $5,000 for signage and an awareness campaign. If you own a home in South Portland and if you want to protect your rights as home owners, we need you to get involved both by contributing to this fund and being available for volunteering as we begin to educate South Portland residents on the importance of defeating this ballot question in November.
