Keith Was Shot 8 Times & Survived - Now He Needs Us
Donation protected
On Tuesday night, April 8th, my brother Keith was randomly and viciously attacked.
A group of young men approached him and, without warning, started opening fire. Keith ran, but one of the bullets struck his leg, and he fell to the ground. Even as he pleaded for them to stop, they emptied their clips.
Keith was rushed to the hospital in critical condition with a total of 8 gunshot wounds to his legs and abdomen. He’s already undergone multiple surgeries, including the removal of part of his lower colon. He’ll be living with a temporary colostomy for the next few months and will need another major surgery for reversal.
Right now, he’s in intense pain... But he's still here! Big thanks to the Philadelphia Police Department officers who could not have responded faster and the amazing staff at Penn Medicine!!! Despite it all, he’s still Keith: kind, thoughtful, and full of love for the people around him.
Why We're Asking for Mutual Aid
- Medicaid will cover some of Keith’s care, but not all of it - not even close.
- This fund will help us cover medical supplies and post-surgery recovery support
- Transportation to follow-up appointments
- Mental health care and trauma therapy
- Living expenses while Keith is unable to work
- Caregiver support so our family can stay by his side
- Costs tied to his next surgery and recovery
Every dollar will go directly toward helping Keith heal with dignity, care, and stability.
About Keith...
Keith is one of those rare people who leads with heart. He listens. He checks in. He makes people feel seen. Even in the hospital, in and out of sleep, he’s still cracking jokes and worrying about how we’re doing.
He’s a gentle, empathetic soul—and we’re doing everything we can to make sure this trauma doesn’t steal that from him.
We’re deeply grateful for every single person who’s reached out, prayed, donated, or simply held our family in their thoughts.
If you’re not in a place to give financially, we understand—and you can still help by sharing this fundraiser widely. Post it on your social media, send it to a group chat, or just tell someone about Keith.
The more people who see this, the more likely we are to get Keith the care and support he needs to truly recover.
Thank you for standing with us
