Hello Friends & Family!
This is Sydney Taylor and I am having a fantastic experience at the University of Kentucky (UK) majoring in Public Health (Epidemiology).
I was selected to participate in the Shoulder to Shoulder Global Health Brigade (STSGH) in May 2015. This is a tremendous opportunity to grow my knowledge in the Epidemiology field from a global perspective. I will be working with students in the college of public health and assisting medical professionals in Santo Domingo, Ecuador! I am excited to represent UK as a student serving less fortunate Santo Domingo residents at a clinic called "Hombre a Hombre" (Shoulder to Shoulder Medical Clinic).
The clinic was built by UK partners and students to improve education, public health, access to safe water, and to improve economic opportunities. The people in Santo Domingo are humbled by the support UK provides to the community. I am excited to be apart of the 2015 brigade! I expect to learn how to assist with clinical trials and health education in a global climate.
I am asking for your donation in support of my trip to Santo Domingo, Ecuador. Please feel free to give as your heart desires. I am grateful and blessed to have wonderful people in my life! The STSGH brigade gives me the opportunity to learn and to be a blessing to others.
