With the heaviest heart, I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf and benefit of the Ibarra family.

Like many people around the world, unfortunately, Maribel Ibarra was overwhelmed by the hopelessness in which people with depression are immersed, which led her to take actions that we deeply regret.

Although incomprehensible, this final act was not the definition of her life. She radiated grace and kindness; she was a bright, happy, and beautiful person as well as a very loving mother. Her friends and family did not know she was struggling and would do anything to turn back time and intervene if they had only seen a sign.

The grief, trauma, and pain the family is experiencing is unbearable. We as a community can show them love and support and ease some of their burden.

If you could find it in your heart to donate to the Ibarra family as they lay their family members to rest, it would be incredibly appreciated. Any amount you can give will be used towards funeral expenses. Once those are covered, any remaining funds will be used towards therapy to help the family cope with this tragedy.

Mental illness can be hidden so well. If you or a loved one are suffering, please seek help. You are not alone; don’t hide your pain.

I'm a family friend and these funds will be transferred to the Ibarra/Lopez family to help with funeral and therapy expenses. Jose Ibarra (Maribel's father and the children's Grandfather) will be the beneficiary of the funds and they will be transferred directly to his bank account.
