Unfortunately our beloved Armando Mercado passed away on Feb 25th, 2025. Thank you very much to all that have donated and shared. Armando got to see all the support from the fund and comments on social media. He was truly grateful for all the support and outreach. Our family is devastated by his loss but we are uplifted by seeing the impact he's made on so many lives. Thank you so much!

Over the past 4 years Armando has been battling stage 4 colon cancer with courage, perseverance, and a positive mental attitude. Through this journey he has maintained a persistent fighting spirit, often supporting and strengthening those around him. He has made an impact in the lives of his family, friends, and strangers alike through sharing his journey publicly and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Armando remains in good and fighting spirits as he is transitioning to hospice care. As his family, we are led by his courage and his positive outlook.

We are asking for support from you all today to show Armando just how big a village he has and how loved he is. This fundraiser is about giving him his flowers now—not just after he’s gone.

How These Funds Will Be Used:

✔ Family Financial Relief – Over the past four years, our family has financially supported Armando with his medical and everyday expenses. Part of this fund will offer financial relief to the family for past expenses and for services thereafter.

✔ Charitable Giving in His Honor – A portion of these funds will go toward a nonprofit that reflects his passion for helping children eat healthier, especially in underserved communities like our hometown, Paterson, NJ.
