Show Love: Help Get Elias Vital Care
Donation protected
Hello! I am Melissa Salomon and work closely with one of Concordia Preschool's teachers, Danae. She worked very hard in her Early Childhood Education studies in Mexico and received a visa to teach here in the United States.
She brings so much to our preschool. She lives in Tijuana with her two teenaged children. Her son, Elias had a very bad accident falling down some stairs onto the concrete and sustained a brain injury. The doctors are concerned for an area that showed on his scan that is marked on one of the photos attached. Danae doesn't have coverge for her family's medical needs in Tijuana and has to pay for the medical expenses out of her teacher's salary.
We can help her meet these medical needs and stand beside Danae and her son and assist in getting tests, specialists and medicine that will be necessary for Elias' care and recovery. Please help us show love and care for this family. Your gift, in any amount, will be so appreciated.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you
Melissa Salomon, Community Life Coordinator, Concordia Church and School.
Here is more from Danae:
There are many types of families in the world and God blessed me with my family, my 2 kids and I.
Elias is 16 years old and Savanah is 14 years old.
God hasn’t blessed yet me with a husband, but he blessed me with my family: my mom and her husband, my sister and her family and my brother.
They have been there for me always and my kids.
We live in Tijuana, we move from Manzanillo Colima to Tijuana 8 years ago, and we are ok, we are comfortable here.
I have been teaching little kids for 14 years. I become a Montessori teacher 4 years ago, and I love it. I love the Montessori philosophy and the materials.
I am blessed to teach at Concordia Preschool. The directors and the teachers are amazing. God gave me these hands and heart to protect and teach little kids. They are little angels on the earth and I am so blessed to be with them every day. They make laugh every single day! What joy they bring.
Having this opportunity to work at Concordia, my life and my kids life has been changing. I am a better teacher, I am better human and I am a better mother, and my kids have a new perspective. Thanks that Jesus is living in our hearts. We are taking bible lessons with Mr Alex and my kids and I love it! Every time that we go to church on Sundays we get closer to Jesus and God is changing our lives.
All the teachers and directors at school have made me feel super welcome and all the people at the church, Ms. Melissa, has made us feel “amados por Dios”. (loved by God)
Thanks also to the pastor and his wife and all the people that are praying for my son too.
My son used to be healthy. He is a very charismatic boy, he loves to smile, he loves to read all kinds of texts, he goes to school and he has good grades.
Two saturdays ago, he had a very horrible situation. I found him laying down at the bottom of the
stairs, unconscious.
The ambulance took us to the Hospital and the first check up from the doctor. He thought maybe he had some kind of epileptic attack, but the specialist is not sure yet. My son needs more tests. Yesterday he had an MRI and last Saturday he had an Electroenphacelogram, and a X Ray. These costly tests I had to pay for myself.
After all these tests, we will see a specialist.
My son is not going to school yet, he cannot stay home alone. To allow me to work, my sister has been a gift from heaven and she has attended to him and his appointments with love and devotion.
We don’t know yet what is happening to my son, we don’t have yet the doctor’s results. My son will need more tesst as the doctor said, but we need to wait for the doctor’s indications.
Please pray for my son and that the Lord will heal him. My appreciation for all those who are praying for us and helping, is so deep. The Lord is great and has been by our sides throughout.
Thank you,
A grateful mother, Danae
