Show love to the Shaver family

I've had the privilege of teaching all 3 Shaver girls at AC Steere, starting with Layla, who is now a senior in high school. This family is so near and dear to my heart, and like yours, my heart is absolutely broken with the loss of Seraphina. This past weekend, there was an ATV accident in Coushatta. Brenna, the youngest (8th grade), was injured, but is now back at home; Sera, the middle baby (10th grade), did not make it.

Jake has faithfully served this city as a Shreveport Firefighter and has dealt with the tragedies that come with his job; now Jake, Siobhann, Layla, Brenna, and the rest of their dear family are suffering one of their own. There are no words to describe this sudden and tragic loss. This page is a way for friends to show love and support to the Shavers during this time and to help with the upcoming medical and funeral costs. Thank you.

I have consistently moved the goal up and up due to the generosity of the community. I will leave the Go Fund open until September 3rd. Hopefully, we can raise enough to help cover any unforeseen medical expenses and living expenses for the next few months while they find a way to move forward.
