Show Our Appreciation for Angelica and Her Family

Angelica began her ministry here at St. Patrick in the summer of 2020. Some of us have forgotten what it felt like in that time of fear and unknowing. As a community of faith, we were all tasked with rebuilding, reforming, and learning how to care for one another while facing danger, anxiety, and turmoil.

Even without the influence of the Pandemic, building the Music Ministry and considering what the liturgy is and can be for our community is a daunting task. We have a rich history of music and liturgy here at St. Patrick. Many of our community members hold music as their direct connection to God— a starting point, an enrichment, a deepening interrelation with the Holy Spirit. It's not just for common prayer or praise, it is the foundation of how some of us connect to each other and God.

Could any one else have taken all this on as St. Patrick Music Director, while pursuing her doctorate, getting married, and growing her family? I'm not so sure.

Angelica has been a leader and a minister, cared pastorally, educated, and challenged all of us. She has done it all with a deep understanding of her faith and what it means to be in community. She has shared with us not only her talent, leadership skills, connected us with a wider community of musicians and music ministers, but also— she, Tom, and now Gloria have shared their lives with us.

As she said in her announcement, "...there is a concept of an eternal timeline in which all life events exist simultaneously. In a way, like us all, I will always be at St. Patrick."

And now, we can show her and her family what she has meant to our community.
