Show Some Love for Cindy Friese
Donation protected
Cindy Friese has been an art teacher at Hamilton High School for the past 6 years. During her time here she's brought the wonderful world of ceramics to her students, planned school events like our Multicultural Fair, and sponsored an after school art club. She's the type of teacher who will work tirelessly behind the scenes to make our school a better place while showing her students the tough love that she's famous for. On the outside, Cindy is a tough cookie; but on the inside, she's a caring mother figure to many.
Unfortunately, life has not been as kind to Cindy recently. Two years ago this April, her beloved sister and roommate abruptly passed away. Her tragic loss caused Cindy to have to move and rethink her living situation. While she still has the love and support of other family members, Cindy was extremely close with her sister. To make matters worse, Cindy was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer this past month after suffering tremendous abdominal pain one day at school. After going through a round of surgery, she'll need to receive chemotherapy as well. She's had one round of chemo so far and experienced an allergic reaction to it that brought bone pain and trouble breathing. Due to the strain her body experiences from the chemo, Cindy will not be able to return to school this year.
This is why we're asking that any generous donors show Cindy some of the love and support that she has shown her students and colleagues. It'll be a long road to beating cancer and being able to get back on her feet again. Help give Cindy the means to continue to live and fight.
