Love & Support for Tracey Harper

I am reaching out to anyone who has been touched by the kindness and generosity of Tracey Harper’s heart. She needs your help. As a lot of you already know, over the last couple of months Tracey has been struggling with her health. There have been issues for years but in the recent months things have progressed very fast and she has been diagnosed with Scleroderma.
Scleroderma is a chronic condition, which means it does not go away. The disease affects your immune system, causing your body to produce too much collagen. As a result of the over production of collagen, your skin gets thick and tight and scars can form on your lungs and kidneys. Your blood vessels can thicken which can lead to tissue damage as well, affecting your blood pressure and heart. Tracey has the systemic form of Scleroderma which means it can affect all of the above mentioned body parts and systems. Tracey also has blood clots on her lungs which is not a part of her Scleroderma diagnosis and her health care team is working to figure out why and how to address this. She has seen and will continue to see a specialist for her heart, lungs and now kidneys.
As we can imagine this is a very difficult time for Tracey and Roger. They have a long way to go and are still very unsure of what the path of this illness will bring, even on a day to day basis. Tracy offered child care in her home for many years and can no longer do this. Roger also has been pulled away from work, and will continue to be as appointments arise and to accompany Tracey on this journey. Offering support in the form of a monetary donation will hopefully help alleviate some stress until they are given a disease management plan and have some insight and direction for the future, until then things will be very unsettled.
Through all of this I personally have not heard Tracey complain even once. She continues to show up with a smile, a positive attitude and maybe a joke or two. She is very special to many, many people.
Anything anyone is able and willing to give will be extremely appreciated. All funds collected will go directly to Tracey and Roger.
Thank you <3
