Show Support for Sabrina and Anjanette - A Tragic Loss of a Loving Husband and Father of a College Bound 16-Year-Old Young Lady

Dear Friends,

We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our dear friend, Eddie Hallam (47). He was a beloved husband, father, brother, friend, and superintendent. As the sole breadwinner for his family, Eddie’s unexpected departure has left his wife, Sabrina and his 16-year-old daughter, Anjanette facing an uncertain future.

After complaining of indigestion and chest pains in the evening of Tuesday, August 20, 2024, 47-year-old Eddie collapsed in the bathroom suffering from a massive heart attack. His wife and daughter were home at the time and desperately called for help. Eddie and the Bronx EMS First Responders fought bravely for his life, but Eddie unexpectedly passed away due to a blood clot to his heart 3 AM, Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

Eddie’s family had been living in the Bronx, New York the past four years. They moved into their new home in the Kingsbridge area with a lot of dreams. A fresh start, closer to Anjanette’s High School in Yonkers and working as the Superintendent of a large apartment complex. Eddie comes from a humble family from Inwood and was a shining light to all who met Eddie.

As Eddie’s family navigates this tragic loss, we are reaching out to friends, family, and the wider community to support his family. The sudden expenses associated with Eddie’s passing, including medical bills, funeral costs, eviction from their current home, school tuition, medical insurance and other unforeseen financial burdens, have placed an enormous strain on the family during an already heart-wrenching time.

Robert Kim of the Bronx, Eddie’s friend for over 40 years, is facilitating this campaign on behalf of Eddie’s family. Eddie was truly a hardworking, resilient, and good-willed person. Despite 47 years surrounded by violence, crime, drugs, and lack of educational prospects in the Bronx and Dykman street, Eddie never bent his knee to negativity and focused on living a proper life as a hardworking family man. His legacy of personal integrity and accountability shines bright.

We humbly ask for your assistance to help ease this burden. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go 100% directly towards alleviating these expenses and helping the family find some peace during this difficult time.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for keeping Eddie’s family in your thoughts and prayers.
