Show the love for Lenore Griffin
This is my beautiful sister Lenore. Lenore has been dealing with headaches for months now. Thinking it was just stress and bulging discs , She continued on with work and kids and life . Her headaches also continued and worsened.
On October 12th Lenore couldn’t move from the bathroom floor. Her headache was unmanageable, Chris rushed her to the ER.
That very night her “stress” headache turned
into much more than that.
Lenore had her first brain surgery to insert an external tube to drain fluid in her brain. After what seemed like forever and two more brain surgeries the doctors diagnosed Lenore with a rare-form of Brain Cancer- Adult Medulloblastoma (two tumors in her cerebellum and 3 have spread to her spinal cord). After 3 surgeries and an internal shunt from her brain to her stomach Lenore finally was discharged from the hospital November 21st.
On December 1, Lenore will begin
Proton Therapy, an advanced form
of radiation, at Penn Medicine In Philadelphia 5 days a week for 6 weeks. Both Lenore and Chris are out of work and will be responsible to pay not only the 25% of the medical bills that the insurance doesn’t cover but also the high insurance premiums beginning in January.
With The holiday season upon us let us show our love and support for My beautiful sister and her family. With 4 kids and Santa coming soon, it would be a blessing for Lenore and Chris not to have to worry about the medical bills that are still adding up.
Everyone knows that Lenore is the strongest, most caring and generous person. It is time to show HER how much we all love and appreciate her! She WILL beat this!
In Lenore’s words
“ Ain’t nothing to it but to do it”
