We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts to share the devastating news of my beloved husband, a father and friend Jeff Tyson, a locally well-known and respected bass player in the vibrant New Orleans music scene. On December 9, 2023, he suffered a severe spinal cord injury that dramatically altered the course of his life and the lives of his family.
Affectionately known as “JT” Jeff Tyson has been a dedicated servant to his community, sharing his passion for music with his band JT & The Kanection. They brought joy to countless individuals visiting New Orleans on the Bourbon St scene through their fun & groovy performances as well as festivals & weddings around the world. He is truly cherished by all who have had the privilege to work with him, know him and hear him play.
The road to recovery from this life-altering injury will be long and arduous. The funds raised through this campaign will be used to cover the extensive medical care, specialized therapy, necessary household accommodations, and living expenses that will be essential for Jeff’s recovery and well-being. Our goal is to provide him with the support and resources he needs during this challenging time, allowing him to focus on his rehabilitation and healing without the burden of financial stress.
