Show your support for Amy during her medical emergency

On Wednesday, April 3rd, Amy experienced ‘the worst headache’ of her life and wisely called 911. She was rushed to Logansport Hospital, where doctors discovered a brain bleed. Her daughter, Jamie, stayed by her side through moments of consciousness and memory loss. The severity of the situation led to a life flight to St. Vincent’s in Indianapolis, where her children Jamie, Mikey, and Sarah hurried to support her. Doctors found a ruptured 12mm aneurysm, a condition most do not survive. Amy underwent a successful procedure to address the aneurysm, but three additional aneurysms were also discovered. Amy is making progress, but her condition remains precarious, as ICU staff emphasize that changes can occur hourly, especially given the threat of the other aneurysms.

Amy’s resilience is remarkable. Within 12 hours post-operation, she was breathing on her own and now walks with assistance down the hallways. Her unmatched sarcasm and wit keep the entire staff alert! With her husband at her side, Amy will require ICU monitoring for 2-3 weeks. Jim, her husband and truck driver will be off work to stay by her side. We are reaching out to friends, family, and anyone willing to contribute donations to ease Amy’s financial burdens during this life-altering event. Anyone who has known her can attest to her love and light. She has always gone above and beyond for others. If Amy has touched your life in any way over the years, now is the time to show your support and love. This support will enable Amy to concentrate on her recovery and upcoming surgeries, knowing that her family is by her side, without the burden of worrying about impending costs.
