Shower Them...

Shower Them... is a not for profit startup that will take showers and laundry capability to homeless and those in need.  We believe we are to help our fellow man, regardless of need.  We don't discriminate for ANY REASON so the Love of God will be shown to our brothers and sisters in need.  Matt. 25:40 KJV  "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."  And in Mark 12: 30-31 KJV, Jesus said "'And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment.  And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” We believe that we are responsible for providing assistance to those who need it, therefore we act on our love for God and follow His direction.  We believe this is His business - we are just the hands and feet to carry out His work. The cost of a mobile platform (new trailer, used cross country bus, used RV, each having fresh and waste water supply capability) will range from $45,000 to potentially $60,000, unless someone happens to donate a vehicle that we can refurbish.  In addition, we estimate the cost of refurbishing the vehicle (clearing out the seats, kitchen, bedroom, etc., and then adding showers and laundry machines, additional fresh and waste water tanks) will cost roughly $20,000.  Operating costs should be about $1,500 per month with Insurance ranging around$1,500 annually. Fresh water will cost approx. $7 per 100 gal, and dumping fees could range from $10 per 100 gal.  Annual upkeep of the vehicle will run an estimated $2,000 per year. This is a volunteer organization, so 100% of all funds will be used toward creating a vehicle, operating that vehicle, and bringing showers to those in need. We have received the EIN from the IRS, and are in the process of filing paperwork for an exemption from the IRS for tax purposes under 501 (c) (3).  As we don't have the exemption yet, any donation is not tax deductible, but we believe this is an opportunity for you to contribute to the work of Love without the lure of tax deductions.  IF the exemption comes within the year from when you donate, that donation will then be tax deductible, but no guarantees on that.
