On March 4, 2024 a shooting on Broad Street claimed the life of a 17 year young man while also injuring 4 others. One of those people was Ms. Zerish McDermott. Ms. Zerish was on her way to her second job (Einstein) coming from her first job. As an innocent bystander she was caught in the cross-fire causing injures to her head. Currently she is in ICU. Many may not know but Ms. Zerish is the care-taker of her sister who is legally blind. At 71 years old Ms. Zerish works 2 jobs at a minimum of 3-4 days during the week. She has a mortgage, she has bills, she is a care-taker, a mother and a friend to us all. She constantly shows love while visiting the ER and has been at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia for over 20 years. SHE IS FAMILY. The last thing she needs to worry about is Bills. I (Cierra Campbell) was to help Ms. Zerish is on her recovery and mental health from this tragic incident that we see all to often unfortunately. She is FAMILY.
